HAPPY SPRING

Celica says:

It's spring!!!!

Going outside is so much more fun in the spring.

The slaves will be relieved - I might stop getting into so much mischief inside if I can go outside and have fun more often.

Boats

Celica says:
This past summer a big blue boat was parked at my cottage most of the time. Its name is Blue Ray. I decided that I should be its caretaker, so every day I demanded to be let out to do my boat check. Do you see me? I'm in every picture right up by the windshield.

Thinking outside the box

Celica says:

No, I never do that. I'm always inside my box. Well almost all of me is inside the box. Sometimes my tail or my foot hangs out.

I love boxes. My slaves say I was probably born in a box, but I don't know. I don't remember being born.

Sometimes my boxes get a bit worn out and so the slaves have to go and get a new one. This is one of the new ones they got me this summer.

My friend ... or maybe not?

Celica says:

A visitor cat has started to come up on our deck. He looks in the window and pounds on it with his paws.

My slaves call him my "boyfriend." I don't know what a boyfriend is.

I don't think I want him on my deck.

OOPS!!!

Celica says:

Well, I fell off the deck ... but I'm OK. Really. I landed on my feet.

My slaves were really worried. My lady slave let me out on the deck and instead of staying put like I used to do, I put my head through the railing to see if it fit. Yup, it still fit. So then I stepped through so I could walk on the outside edge (like I've been wanting to do), but the edge was too small. I tried to grab on but the deck was too slippery - it IS this plastic stuff after all.

So down I went.

The slaves looked me all over and I just wandered off to find something else to do.

Told ya ... I'm fine.

The dog house!

Celica says:
Yes, that's where I've been for the past couple of days. I climbed up on my lady slave's desk in her office. Then I nudged her clock a little bit and it fell off the shelf ... and ... well, it broke. She wasn't happy.

I think she's forgiven me now though. She gave me a nice brushing awhile ago. Feels so good....

Going to see the eye doc!

Celica says:

Well, Dr. Hurdle thought that maybe my right eye should be checked out by a specialist - Dr. Dave Tinsley at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital. It's a long drive across the city (and even longer from the cottage), but the Alta Vista clinic is where to go if there's anything really serious that might be wrong. They have all kinds of specialists.

The ophthalmology staff are very nice and they're super caring to us cats (although I know they like dogs too, but I'll forgive them for that). My slaves know them because they treated Scooter a couple of years ago.

Dr. Tinsley posed with me for a picture.

He even said it would be OK if I explored one of his special cabinets. I thought about it, but changed my mind. He might use more of those gadgets on me if he's thinks I'm interested.

The slaves and Dr. T. talked for awhile, but I was ready to leave. I just know this is the way OUT!

See you again in October....
