A cold spring

Celica says:

They tell me it's spring now, but it still looks like winter to me. I still have my pathways in the snow out in the back yard.

I want grass!!!!

And the front yard looks like winter too.

Not an angel

Celica says:

The cat next door is named Angel. Well, I can tell you, she is no angel. She hisses and scratches my slaves. In fact, she bit my man slave one time and he had to get shots!!! And I know what "shots" are like. Not nice.

So I watch the front door a lot, just to make sure she's not there.

And of course, over she comes!!! She pounds on the window and I pound on my side. And I tell her to "GO AWAY!!! It's MY house!!!!!

Dental work

Celica says:

It's taken awhile to get over this spring's trauma. I had to have a tooth removed!!!!

But first, it was off to Alta Vista

for a test to find out if I have heart disease. Dr. de Madron concluded that I have a "soft" heart murmur - nothing to be worried about.

So then it was off to Barrhaven

where Dr. Gordon described what had to happen to my tooth. It was a canine tooth and it was infected. It had broken a very long time ago, and finally it was time for it to go.

Needless to say, I was none too pleased, but everybody was so nice, and I survived.

Blue Ray

Celica says:

This past summer a big blue boat was parked at my cottage most of the time. Its name is Blue Ray. I decided that I should be its caretaker, so every day I demanded to be let out to do my boat check.

OK, update. The big blue boat has been at the cottage for 2 years now. And it looks like this coming summer will be no different.
(This post got stuck in the drafts folder and I didn't know it. Blogger can be weird.)

A-WALL

Well, now she's done it twice - in one week!

She manages to jump the fence and goes into the neighbour's yard. And that yard is padlocked, so we can't get her back easily.

Luckily said neighbour has a ladder outside, so picture a white-haired lady climbing up a ladder on one side, and then down another ladder on the other side.

Celica seems to find this very amusing. She leads me a merry chase once I'm in the yard with her. She hides under the deck and I think I can hear her chuckling to herself.

Ahoy Mate!

Celica says:

Back last fall, the slaves thought it would be fun to put me in their boat. They have a sad little boat that has been used for many things over its long life - mostly for fishing I think. Anyway, now it's only used for the slaves to row around the bay when they take pictures. They keep telling me I would like it.
I don't think so!!!

But I did let them put me in it as long as no water was involved.

I was patient, but then I saw another chipmunk and I had to get out....

Gotcha!

Well, she finally caught one. The little chippie never had a chance.
You can just see his little leg and tail hanging out of her mouth.

But not to worry. She dropped him and off he went to taunt her another day.
