Christmas 2009

Celica says:

Awhile ago, the slaves started talking about something they called "Christmas." At first I heard the word just every now and then, but then I heard it more and more often. And ... then ... they started acting weird.

They brought lots of boxes up from the basement and took out lots of things they called "decorations." (So that's what was in all those boxes I've been sniffing in the basement!) They put these decorations all over the living room and dining room.

And they moved some furniture without my permission. I don't like when they do that. It's quite upsetting to see things in different places. But it turns out they had to do that because of what came next.

They brought a tree inside the house!!!!!

This is called the Christmas tree.

They also bought a special plant called a poinsettia. I was told not to eat it. But I could play with the wrapping paper. That was fun.

And then soon they started wrapping "presents." Of course I offered my help.

They shared their special breakfast with me on Christmas morning.

All in all it was a lot of fun. People came to visit and I got to play with lots of boxes and bows and ribbons. I like ribbons.

But Christmas seems to be over now. They took the tree back outside and they put the decorations back in the boxes.

I wonder what will be next?
